Outreach

Q. Can the wildlife park come to the school with the animals?

Yes, we are more than happy to bring our 'Education Animal Collection' to your school and give you the chance to experience wildlife in your classroom.

Based on our past success and experience we are offering schools the chance to complement their curriculum activities with a visit from our Outreach programme! These approximate 60 to 90 minute sessions cover autumn, winter, spring and summer term times giving children an entertaining close up study of various mini-beasts, reptiles, mammals and artifacts. We can tailor the programmes to suit your requirements and fit in with any stage of the curriculum.

Price: £125 up to 30 children (£1 per child for extras over 30). Schools must be within a 10 mile radius of the wildlife park (£1 per mile over 10 miles).

Testimonial
" I thoroughly recommend the outreach programme. The presence of live animals in the classroom inspired my students and helped their understanding of many parts of the science national curriculum. The interpretation officers are informative and very knowledgeable. They pitched their presentation at the appropriate level, encouraging students to ask many questions and were happy to discuss my needs before the talk to ensure its relevance to my class. The whole event was a very easy way to organise a really exciting experience."
