In the foreground of this photo now stands our monkey houses. But back in the winter of 1979 it stood empty waiting for the new grass to come through.










Big cat house site
This empty field is now home to our big cats. This photo was taken looking into the centre of the park from where the puma enclosure now stands. Winter 1979.

This photo shows the woodland area newly planted. This area is now home to our chinchilla, marmosets, rabbits, ferrets, macaws & red squirrels. Winter 1979.
